As a person who barely feels anything, how do I get my heart chakra open?

Hi, I'm Arun from Lucknow, born on 14 October, 1986 at 2:09 AM. I've never been good at expressing love, not even with those I am close to. I sense a wall within me. I practiced breathing and affirmations, but nothing seems to change. I'd like to open my heart chakra and feel more connected, but I don't know where to start. What are some easy but effective methods for unlocking the heart chakra when emotional expression is seemingly impossible?

Hello Arun ji , If you barely feel anything, it does not mean your heart chakra is “blocked” or broken. Often it means the heart learned to protect itself by staying quiet. Opening the heart chakra does not start with forcing emotions. It starts with safety. Here are simple and gentle ways to begin: ● Start with body awareness, not emotions Place one hand on your chest, breathe slowly, and just notice warmth or pressure. No need to feel love. Sensation comes before emotion. ● Use breath instead of affirmations Long, soft exhales calm the nervous system and make the heart feel safe enough to open. ● Practice self-kindness in small actions Drink water mindfully, rest when tired, speak gently to yourself. The heart opens through care, not effort. ● Visualize softness, not intensity Imagine a soft green glow or the feeling of being wrapped in a warm blanket. Avoid pushing light or emotions. ● Be patient with numbness Numbness is often frozen emotion. As the heart thaws, feelings come slowly and unevenly. The heart chakra opens when it feels safe, not when it is commanded. Consistency and gentleness matter more than techniques.
