Can anyone suggest some meditation to clear my mind of bad thoughts?
Name: Aradhya, Date of birth: 10 January 2001, Place of birth: Rajkot, Time: 6:30 AM. I've been caught in a cycle of bad thinking lately particularly concerning my career and relationships. I've experimented with journaling and conversing with friends, but the anxiety continues to creep up on me. Meditation was recommended to me, but I don't know what kind really works for clearing these thoughts.What kind of meditation really helps me clear negative thoughts and calm my anxiety without making me feel forced? I need something that does not feel forced and emotionally cleansing, yet another activity I struggle to comply with.

4 months agoHello Aradhya. You cannot "clear" a bad thought by fighting it. That’s like trying to clear muddy water by stirring it. You clear it by letting it settle. The Solution: "Cloud Labeling." Imagine your negative thoughts are dark clouds. Say, "There is a career cloud," "There is a relationship cloud." Then, imagine yourself as the Sky. The sky is never harmed by the clouds. It just holds them until they pass. This isn't "forced"; it's just a shift in perspective. Insight: Born Jan 10, you are a Capricorn. You are very career-oriented. Your "bad thoughts" are usually just your "Inner Critic" trying to make you "better."
