Can repeated chanting of mantras really clean my aura and soothe my mental turmoil?

Name: Aditya, Date of birth: 17 May 1996, Place of birth: Chennai, Time: 6:55 AM. Every day for the past three months, I've been reciting mantras, Om and Gayatri Mantra primarily. I started doing this in order to deal with anxiety, but I've seen something deeper happening. There are days when I feel lighter emotionally, as if a haze has been lifted. Other days I feel overwhelmed, like something is being stirred up. Can simply chanting mantras daily cleanse my aura and soothe my mental turmoil? Or am I dreaming up the changes that I'm experiencing?

Greetings Aditya, You are not dreaming. Chanting is Acoustic Science. The Gayatri Mantra, in particular, works on the solar plexus and the brain’s neuro-pathways. The Analysis: When you feel "stirred up," that is the mantra dislodging deep-seated Samskaras (karmic impressions). It is like cleaning an old rug; dust must fly before the fabric is clean. The Reality: The "haze lifting" is your aura being refined. The overwhelmed days are simply the "cleansing process" in action. Continue the practice; it is transforming your energetic blueprint permanently, not just relaxing your mind. It is "sonic scrubbing" for the soul.
