How can I calm my anxiety before exams?

I’m Riya, born 15th May 2006, Delhi, 8:30 AM. The day before my board exam results, I feel jittery, my palms sweat, and I can’t sit still. Even when my parents tell me not to worry, my mind keeps imagining failure. Sometimes I ask myself: What if I didn’t do well? What will my teachers say? Will my parents be disappointed? These thoughts make it hard to eat or sleep. How can I manage this tension and calm my mind?

Hello Riya, Feeling jittery and restless before exams or results is a common sign of exam-related anxiety. These nervous thoughts can make your mind imagine worst-case scenarios, increasing stress and tension. Anxiety treatment and stress relief techniques can help. Deep breathing, short meditation, positive visualization, and focusing on what is within your control improve mental calmness and relaxation. With consistent practice, panic management becomes easier, focus improves, and result anxiety decreases. These strategies allow you to approach exams and results with a calmer mindset, reducing nervousness and helping you maintain emotional balance during stressful periods.
