How do I forget old, painful memories I've spent years trying to forget by meditating?
I’m Tanuj, born on 1st Nov 1998 at 7 pm. I started meditation to quiet my anxious mind, but it's having the opposite effect. As soon as I get quiet, memories I've suppressed for years—childhood bullying, a painful breakup—flood back with intense clarity and emotion. I often end the session crying uncontrollably. It's exhausting and frightening, feeling like I'm reliving an old trauma. Is this a necessary part of the healing process, or is it retraumatizing me? Should I push through or immediately stop?
