I am suffering from anxiety, and depression lately, so what is the best meditation form for me?

Name: Sudhir, Date of birth: 19 April 2005, Place of birth: Dubai, Time: 8:05 AM. I've been attempting to meditate on a regular basis since my anxiety tends to interrupt my studies and sleep. But each time I sit, I get thoughts galore worry, memories, even stupid fears. I feel more overwhelmed after that. What type of meditation is good for a person who suffers from anxiety, stress, and bouts of depression? Can my birth chart explain why I find stillness difficult, and is there a particular approach that suits my planetary energies better?

Hello Sudhir. When anxiety and depression coexist, the mind feels like it's being pulled in two directions: the "future fear" of anxiety and the "past weight" of depression. Stillness feels difficult because it forces you to face both at once. The Solution: Try "Noting" Meditation. As you sit, if a worry pops up, silently say "Future." If a sad memory pops up, say "Past." If a sound happens, say "Hearing." Labeling the thought takes away its power and stops you from getting "lost" in it. It makes you an observer rather than a victim. Insight: Born April 19, you are an Aries. Aries is a sign of action. Sitting still feels like "losing a battle" to you. You need a practice that feels like a "mental exercise" or a "challenge" to conquer.
