Is there any sort of meditation that will actually be able to help me overcome anxiety?

Name: Aarav, Date of birth: 28 February 2005, Place of birth: Mumbai, Time: 7:45 AM. I am in my first year of engineering and I feel like I'm drowning in deadlines and expectations all the time. I have attempted meditation to ease my anxiety, but my brain goes racing even quicker when I'm sitting quietly. Ideas bounce from one concern to the next, and rather than being relaxed, I am even more upset. Even guided meditations and breathing exercises last only a few minutes before my mind wanders away. Are there meditation practices that would actually calm anxiety and keep me centered? Could my birth chart be causing this mental restlessness?

Hello Aarav. As a first-year engineering student, your brain is currently trained to process logic, calculate risks, and meet high-pressure demands. When you sit in silence, you aren't actually making your thoughts "faster"; you are simply turning down the "background noise" of life, which makes your internal anxiety sound much louder. It’s like being in a quiet library—every whisper feels like a shout. The Solution: Instead of sitting still, try Active Mindfulness. Engage in a "Walking Meditation." While walking to class, focus entirely on the sensation of your feet hitting the ground—heel, arch, toe. This gives your analytical brain a physical "data point" to track, preventing it from spiraling into deadlines. Insight: Born Feb 28, you are a Pisces. Pisces is a water sign known for being a "psychic sponge," absorbing the stress of the environment. Your restlessness comes from a lack of "mental boundaries."
