Why do I avoid parties even though I want to enjoy them?

Hi, my name is Kiran, born in Bangalore on 5th September 1999 at 7:40 PM. I want to go to parties and enjoy myself with friends, but whenever I try, I get extremely anxious. I feel people will judge me, laugh at me, or think I don’t belong. So I end up staying home and making excuses. Could this be social anxiety disorder? Does astrology show this struggle in my chart?

Hey Kiran, hope you are doing well. Your experience does sound like social anxiety to me, where fear clouds your desire to connect with people on a deeper level. You are currently tied up between wanting to go, and avoiding it like a plague - which is making you so confused. By your chart, you are a Leo Sun, with a Pisces Moon and Gemini Ascendant. Wanting to go but avoiding it is a common inner conflict in this. Leo energy can lead to overthinking, especially concerning their public image, self-worth, and relationships. If Saturn, Rahu, or Ketu are malefic in your chart, it can cause inhibition and fear of rejection. What you can do to help your self : Start with small groups of gathering. Practice slow breathing before social events, build self confidence ( journaling helps in this case). Take your time and go at your own pace. You are in competition with your own self and there is no rushing you.

Hello Kiran, Avoiding parties despite wanting to enjoy them is often linked to social anxiety. From a social anxiety astrology perspective, gatherings stress horoscope patterns can make the mind overactive in social situations, creating fear of judgment, self-doubt, and tension. Planetary influence may make you naturally sensitive in groups, even if you want to participate. Coping techniques and confidence building can help manage these feelings. Grounding routines, mindful breathing, and emotional awareness reduce stress and improve emotional clarity. With consistent practice, tension softens, social anxiety decreases, and you can gradually enjoy parties and gatherings with more confidence and ease.
