Why do I start trembling while meditating on root chakra?

Last night, I practiced a guided meditation on my root chakra. Around ten minutes in, I sensed a weird vibration in my lower half. It wasn't hurtful, just intense and out-of-the-blue. My legs were heavy, and my breathing became deeper. Is this part of normal chakra activation? Why does my body vibrate when meditating on the root chakra?

Greetings, Ishita! Born in Kolkata at 9:05 AM, you experienced "intense trembling" during a 10 minute root chakra meditation. The Problem: You are worried if the "weird vibration" and "heavy legs" are normal during muladhara chakra meditation. The Solution: Yes, this is an excellent sign! The trembling is called "Kriyas." It is the physical body's response to an "Energetic Block" being moved. Think of a pipe that has been clogged for years; when you finally turn the water on, the pipe rattles. Your base chakra meditation is successfully moving "Prana" through your legs and hips—areas where we store "Survival Fear." The heaviness and deeper breathing indicate your nervous system is "down-shifting" from "Fight or Flight" into "Deep Security." Remedy: Kolkata is ruled by Mother Kali, who represents "Grounding and Transformation." Your trembling is a "Release." To soothe this, use a Smoky Quartz or Black Tourmaline. Before your next 15 minute root chakra meditation, rub your feet with sesame oil. This "Grounds" the vibration and makes the activation more comfortable.
