Why does Metta to a difficult person unearth disproportionate anger from family trauma?
When I attempt to wish a hard person a good day, I am completely distracted, and my attention is drained by my raw emotions of anger about my family problems of the past. The emotion is not in proportion to the existing individual. This massive emotional outburst is frightening. I feel Metta is digging a grave of some ancient trauma. And is it time to stop the Metta and use the time to journal and process anger instead? My name is Rohan, DOB 7th July 1992. Time: 5:55 PM. Location: Indore.

4 months agoNamaste Rohan. What you are experiencing is not a failure of meditation; it is a "Karmic Purge." Born July 7, 1992, your chart shows a Mars-Moon (Chandra-Mangal) connection, often associated with intense, fiery emotions. Your 4th House (Family/Home) likely holds "Samskaras" (impressions) of old anger. When you try to send kindness to a difficult person, your brain links their "difficulty" to the "difficulty" of your past. The person is just the "Key" that opened the "Door" to your family trauma. Detailed Solution: Yes, it is time to pivot. If the Metta triggers a disproportionate outburst, your nervous system is telling you it's not ready for "Forgiveness" yet. The Pivot: Use your meditation time for "Anger Metabolization." Journaling is excellent. You must "Exhaust" the anger on paper before you can "Evoke" love in the heart. Detailed Remedies: Remedy: Practice "Suryabhedana Pranayama" (Right nostril breathing) to process and release the heat of the anger. Physical Release: Engage in vigorous physical activity (walking, lifting) before meditating to "spend" the Mars energy. Mantra: Chant "Om Hanumate Namah". Lord Hanuman is the master of controlled power and can help you stabilize the family-related emotional outbursts
