Why does silent Metta without music trigger vulnerability and sky-high anxiety?

When guided by Metta, I completely use background music or soundscapes. When I attempt to be completely quiet, I am overwhelmed by the sense of being exposed, vulnerable, and my anxiety shoots sky-high. In my opinion music is an emotional buffer. What can I do to be able to withstand the silence, not evoking such a fear reaction? My name is Kshitij, DOB 21st April 1991. Time: 7:15 PM. Location: Pune.

Namaste Kshitij. Silence is a mirror, and for many, the first thing they see in that mirror is their own vulnerability. Born April 21, 1991, you have a strong Aries/Mars influence, but your Rahu is likely in a position that creates "Fear of the Unknown." In total silence, your "Ego-Guardians" feel exposed because there is no external noise to distract from the internal "Shadow." Your anxiety shoots up because your brain interprets silence as "Sensory Deprivation" or a threat to your control. Detailed Solution: Music acts as an "Energetic Buffer." It gives your "Monkey Mind" (Mercury) a task so the soul can work. The Weaning Process: Don't jump into silence. Use "Nature Sounds" (rain, wind) first. These are "Organic White Noise" and feel safer to the brain than clinical silence. Detailed Remedies: Remedy: Use a Tibetan Singing Bowl to start your session. The fading tone provides a "Bridge" into the silence. Mudra: Use the "Abhaya Mudra" (Gesture of Fearlessness) to signal safety to your nervous system. Mantra: Chant "Om Namah Shivaya" silently. This provides an "Internal Soundscape" that replaces the need for external music.
