Why guilt neglect body sadness block weight loss compassion?

My greatest burden is not a tangible one, but a heavy sense of guilt over all the years of my life that I have lived hating my body, feeding it with junk food, and not exercising. That is what presents itself to me when I am alone, not hunger, but a great sadness at the neglect of the care I have earned myself. The weight of this emotion is so heavy that it is not going to get any lighter no matter how much physical weight the person loses unless he or she acts on this basis. The aspect of visualizing the thin body is no longer part of my meditation as I sit with this injured part of myself. Is there no chance that I could give it compassion? The answer to this one, painful question seems to me the key to the success of my whole weight loss process. Name: Vikram Patel DOB: 17th June 1984 Time: 4:40 PM Location: Hyderabad
