Will meditation really help me in cases of hyperventilation, and panic attacks?

Name: Samar, Date of birth: 2 August 1999, Place of birth: Ludhiana, Time: 7:45 AM. Symptoms of anxiety such as hyperventilation, panic attacks, and a constant feeling of restlessness have been my situation for quite some time and I have been anxiously treating them. The only thing I can come up with which worked is breathing exercises and grounding techniques, but they give relief only for a few minutes. But, is meditation effective in helping me to manage the symptoms of hyperventilation, panic attacks, and constant restlessness? I’m looking for something that works at a deeper level and helps me feel safe in my own body again.

Hello Samar. For panic attacks, "Traditional Meditation" can be dangerous because it makes you hyper-aware of your breath. The Solution: "The 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique" + "The Long Exhale." 5 things you see, 4 things you feel, 3 sounds, 2 smells, 1 taste. This pulls you out of your "Internal Panic" and into the room. Pursed-Lip Breathing: Breathe in through your nose, and out through "straw lips" very slowly. This prevents the CO2 imbalance that causes hyperventilation. Insight: Born Aug 2, you are a Leo. You feel panic when you feel "out of control" of your environment. Grounding gives that control back to you.
