How do I know if I am tapping on the right points during meditation?

Due to a multitude of favourable online reviews reporting that tapping meditation is a powerful remedy for anxiety, I chose to experiment with it. However, to be forthright, I am still quite confused as to where I should be tapping. Often, I follow the steps from a completely different YouTube video without even checking my effectiveness. How can one be sure if the correct energy points are being unlocked through tapping and that the effort is not futile?
