How do I stop expecting “peace” when I sit for meditation?

Typically, I would expect to feel calm inside my mind during meditation. Nevertheless, I often come across such events that my mind seems to be irritated or emptiness is felt. Are these events typical? If yes, and the issue is solved, then what could be a way to allow the moment of here and now and the person to feel still without generating such anticipations while doing the practice? My name is Aryan Khanna, and I was born in Mumbai on 20th January 1998 at 4:15 PM.

Aryan, your Scorpio Sun and Sagittarius Moon create a conflict between "intensity" and "philosophy." You feel frustrated because you treat meditation like a "transaction"—I sit, therefore I must get peace. The Detailed Solution: What you are experiencing (irritation/emptiness) is perfectly normal. It’s called "The Unloading." To stop the expectation, change your goal. Don't sit to "get peace"; sit to "be curious." Instead of saying "I am irritated," say "Ah, irritation is visiting me right now." Treat your thoughts like guests in a hotel—you are the manager, not the guest. The Remedy:Detachment: Donate something small (food or money) on Saturdays to strengthen your ability to "let go" of outcomes. ● Mantra: Chant "Thy will be done" or "I accept this moment" before starting.
