How does meditation improve overthinking and sleepless nights?

In the evenings, when it is impossible for me to get sleep, I usually accuse my thoughts of being the main factor behind my sleeplessness. Most of the time, these "thoughts" are close to me, and they keep me in a state of anxiety about the same things, what-ifs, and so on without end. As a result, it really takes my sleep away. Usually, I come to the conclusion that the very same and quite lengthy discussions about the talked ways of brain winding up and overthinking end mostly with one of the mentioned ways as meditation. Even so, what really is the connection between meditation, sleep and anxiety? My name is Ritesh Nair, and I was born in Kochi on 15th April 1998 at 9:30 AM.

The Astrological Reading: Ritesh, as a Sagittarius, you are a seeker, but being born late at night means your Moon is highly active during the hours of darkness. Your "What-If" loops are a result of your fiery Sagittarius energy having nowhere to go at night, so it turns inward and burns through your peace of mind. The Detailed Solution: There is a direct connection between your breath, your anxiety, and your sleep. When you overthink, your breath becomes shallow, signaling your brain to stay awake for a "threat." Meditation breaks this connection by activating the "Parasympathetic Nervous System." Before bed, practice "The 4-7-8 Technique": Inhale for 4, hold for 7, exhale for 8. This long exhale is a biological signal for sleep. It quiets the "What-If" chatter by shifting your brain from "Problem Solving" mode to "Rest and Digest" mode. The Remedy: Remedy Solution: Use Lavender oil on your pulse points before your bedtime meditation. Direction: Ensure your head is facing South while sleeping to align with the Earth's magnetic field for deeper rest. Mantra: Chant "Om Agasthi Shayana" silently as you lie down to invite sleep.
