I am feeling guilt after breakup, was this a karmic relationship breakup

Hello sir, I’m Aditi, born on 30 April 1996 at 12:20 PM in Chandigarh. I had an emotional connection with a colleague while I was in a long-distance relationship with Karan (DOB 12 Jan 1994). He found out, broke up, and blocked me everywhere. I feel guilty and confused. Was this a karmic lesson or just my own immaturity?
