Will regular meditation help me sleep better despite my back pain?
I am so tormented with back pain that my sleep at night is not sufficient. I continuously switch between various sleeping positions for hours. It was recommended to me to do meditation at night as it would be a good way to relax the nervous system and get sleep. Still, I am confused about the meditation technique that would be the most effective for pain relief and sleep. My name is Sneha Kapoor, and I was born in Delhi on 7th May 1999 at 8:20 AM.

Taurus seeks comfort, and when back pain disrupts your sleep, it affects your entire emotional baseline. The Sleep-Pain Link: Sleep is when the body performs Cellular Repair. If you can't sleep because of pain, your body cannot heal the very source of that pain. The Technique: The most effective method for you is the "Body Scan Mindfulness." While lying in bed, you mentally travel through each part of your body, relaxing the muscles and "breathing into" the back pain. Calming the System: This practice activates the Parasympathetic Nervous System, which is the "Rest and Digest" mode. It tells your brain that even though there is pain, it is "safe" to sleep. This allows you to fall into a deeper, more restorative sleep despite the discomfort.
