The Neem Karoli Baba Mandir is located in Kainchi village, around 17 kilometers from Nainital, Uttarakhand. You cab reach the temple either by train, air or road. Here is a small guide:

  • By Train: If travelling by train, The nearest railway station is Kathgodam, about 40 km from the temple. And From there, one can easily see that taxis and buses are available.
  • By Air: The nearest airport to the temple is Pantnagar Airport which is approximately 70 km away.
  • By Road: Kainchi Dham is also well connected by road to Nainital, Haldwani, and other major towns in Uttarakhand. So you can take buses or travel by your personal car or taxis.

The temple usually opens from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM however the timings may slightly vary depending on the season and special occasions. Moreover, there is no entry fee to visit the temple. One of the most important thing to keep in mind while visiting is that Photography is not allowed inside the temple premises.

As for the Accommodations,Guest rooms inside the ashram are limited and provided only after permission. However, you can find several hotels and lodges in nearby towns like Bhowali and Nainital. There are various ashrams also that one can check out beforehand. Free meals (langar) are served to devotees during special events and festivals.

One of the biggest gatherings at Kainchi Dham happens on June 15th, the ashram’s foundation day. A massive bhandara (community meal) is organized, which draws thousands of devotees from India and abroad. The arrangements are made in an orderly and peaceful manner.
