Does exercise really relieve anxiety or is that a myth?

Name: Laxmi Date of birth: 30 June 1998 Place of birth: Lucknow Time: 8:00 AM Everyone keeps telling me to "just exercise" to improve my mood, but I don't believe them. I've been trying to walk and do yoga, but I don't feel any significant change in my levels of anxiety. Perhaps I'm doing it all wrong, or perhaps it has a time frame. Does exercise actually make you feel less anxious, or is that just a rumour? I want to know whether physical activity can actually switch things around emotionally, or if I have to seek some other means for it.

Namaste, Laxmi, Exercise is not a myth, but for an anxious soul, the intent matters. In Astrology, physical movement is ruled by Mars. If your Mars is in a "lazy" sign or suppressed by Saturn, you will feel that exercise is a chore that yields no results. The Reason: You aren't doing it "wrong," but you may be doing the wrong kind. For anxiety, we need to balance the Vata (air) dosha. High-impact cardio can sometimes increase Vata, making you feel more "airy" and anxious. The Solution & Remedies: ● Slow Movement: Switch to Tai Chi or Yin Yoga. These focus on the "earth" element, which anchors the "air" of anxiety. ● Rhythm: Walk at the same time every day. Routine (Dinacharya) is the best astrological remedy for an unstable mind.
