How do I avoid feeling anxiety attacks while relaxing with meditation?

Name: Manya, Date of birth: 11 April 2003, Place of birth: Chandigarh, Time: 8:30 AM. I have been trying meditation to calm my nerves, but it sometimes fails. I sit down, close my eyes, and instead of feeling relaxed, my heart begins racing and my breath goes shallow. It's as if the quietness itself is causing the panic. How do I avoid anxiety attacks when I am trying to meditate and relax? Is there a certain method or cosmic influence that makes me so sensitive to silence? I don't want to feel anxious, but safer, during meditation.

Hello Manya. For many, silence isn't "peaceful"—it’s "empty." And for an anxious mind, "empty" means "vulnerable." Your heart races because your brain is trying to "fill the silence" with a reason to be alert. The Solution: Use White Noise or Binaural Beats. Never meditate in total silence. Use a background sound of rain, a fan, or a 432Hz frequency track. This provides a "safety net" of sound that prevents your mind from feeling "lost" in the quiet. Astrological Insight: Born April 11, you are an Aries. Aries energy is explosive and "loud." The "Quiet" feels like an affront to your natural vibration.
