How do I explain my depression and anxiety to relatives who don't have faith in it?
Name: Sneha Date of birth: 25 October 2000 Place of birth: Kolkata Time: 7:45 AM I have been experiencing anxiety and depression for some time now, but my relatives don't believe in mental health. They think that I'm just being dramatic or lazy, and that if I just "snap out of it," everything will be alright. It hurts because I wish I could be truthful with them, but not get dismissed or judged. How do I talk to family members that don't think anxiety and depression exist? I need to be able to explain to someone what I am going through without shame or invalidation.

4 months agoNamaste, Sneha. Dealing with a lack of family support is a heavy cross to bear. This is often seen when the native's 2nd House (family) is disconnected from their Moon. The Reason: Your family likely values "stoicism" or "strength," and they see your struggle as a choice. They lack the "emotional vocabulary" to understand you. The Solution & Remedies: ● Third-Party Support: Stop trying to get water from a dry well. Seek validation from mentors, therapists, or friends while you work on your own healing. ● Jupiter Charity: Donate books or food to students to improve your communication and understanding with elders.
