How do I keep doing what I love without fear of failure and being judged?
Name: Ishaan Date of Birth: 1 January 1993 Place of Birth: Thiruvananthapuram Time: 12:40 PM. I love performing and creating, but my fear of failure and criticism holds me captive. I always feel exposed and pathetic every time I try to allow people to see what I do. I recently discovered that my Capricorn rising could be making me too self-critical and fearful of rejection. I want to continue doing what I love without being crippled by fear. How can I overcome fear and not allow other people's opinions to control my behavior?

6 months agoGreetings, Ishaan. Born on New Year's Day in Thiruvananthapuram, your soul is marked by the ambitious and structured energy of Capricorn. Ishaan, having a Capricorn Rising means that Saturn is your chart ruler. This makes you incredibly diligent, but it also means you carry the "Weight of the World" on your shoulders. For you, social anxiety is not just about "fear of people"; it is the "Fear of being perceived as incompetent." In your chart, the 5th house (the house of creativity and performance) is likely governed by Taurus or an Earth sign, which makes you want your creations to be "Perfect" before they are seen. You feel exposed and "pathetic" because you judge your "Draft 1" against the "Final Masterpiece" of others. Your fear of criticism is actually your own internal Saturnian "Critic" projected onto the audience. The Cause: This is an "Atma-Karaka" (Soul Lesson) issue. You are here to learn that your value is not tied to your output. Currently, your Sun (Identity) is too tightly bound to your Saturn (Results). The Remedy: The "Sun-Saturn Alignment" ● The Surya Ritual: Every Sunday, perform the "Surya Arghya" (offering water to the Sun). While the water flows, repeat: "I am worthy regardless of my work." This strengthens the Sun (the Self) against the criticism of Saturn. ● The Iron Remedy: On Saturdays, donate iron items or black umbrellas to those who work in manual labor. This satisfies the "Hard Work" requirement of Saturn, allowing your creative side to breathe more freely. ●Mantra: Chant "Om Shreem Hreem Saraswatyai Namah" to invite the Goddess of Art without the fear of judgment. The Long-Term Solution: ● "The Ugly Art" Exercise: Once a week, create something—a drawing, a poem, a piece of music—that is intentionally bad. Show it to one trusted person. This "de-sensitizes" your ego to the concept of failure. ● Reframe the Audience: Before performing or sharing, visualize the audience as your students, not your judges. In astrology, the 5th house is also the house of teaching. Shift from "Will they like me?" to "What can I give them?”
