Why am I getting anxious even when I am just sitting and doing nothing?
Name: Tanmay Date of Birth: 6 August 1997 Place of Birth: Mysuru Time: 8:15 PM I might be sitting there quietly without thinking about anything at all, and for no reason, I feel anxious. My heart begins to pound furiously, my chest constricts, and this peculiar sense of fear lingers above me even though nothing is happening. It's frustrating because I'm not provoked by any particular thought or situation. I've begun to fear these random surges of anxiety more than legitimate stressful situations. Why is my body doing this and my mind isn't? Is this some underlying problem I need to consider?

4 months agoNamaste, Tanmay, This is what we call "Ketu-Vata" anxiety. When you sit still, the body's physical energy drops, but the "subtle" energy continues to swirl. If your Ketu is strong or influencing your Moon, it creates a "void" that the mind tries to fill with fear. The Astrological Reason: It’s like a "glitch" in the soul's signal. Your heart pounds because your Prana is moving unevenly through your Nadis. Because there is no "reason" in the outside world, you fear these surges even more. The Solution & Remedies: ● Grounding (Jarandala): When the surge starts, touch the floor with your palms. Connect with the Earth element immediately. ● Ashwagandha: Consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for Ashwagandha—it is a "Sattvic" herb that anchors the nervous system. ● Mantra: Chant "Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha" to remove the "random" obstacles in your energy flow.
