Why did I cry suddenly during the meditation of my heart chakra?

Hello everyone, I am Vaishali from Bhopal and born on 6th July 1994 at 3:23 PM. I sat quietly last night and paid attention to my chest. In minutes, I felt a bizarre heat coursing through my body, and I began weeping tears down my face. I wasn't crying, but something inside me cracked open. It was like I was mourning and healing simultaneously. I've only recently begun meditating and I find myself being attracted to the heart chakra. Is this standard? What is it that people generally feel when they meditate on the center of the heart?

Hello Vaishali ji, Yes, this is very common, especially in heart chakra (Anahata) meditation. When you focus on the heart area, you are touching the place where unexpressed emotions, old grief, love wounds, and suppressed feelings are stored. Crying during heart chakra meditation does not mean something is wrong. Here’s what likely happened in simple terms: ● The heat you felt is a sign of energy activation ● The tears mean emotional release, not sadness ● Your body was letting go of stored pain or heaviness ● You were healing and releasing at the same time Many people report: – Sudden crying – Feeling cracked open or soft – A mix of relief and vulnerability – Feeling lighter afterward Being attracted to the heart chakra as a beginner is also natural. The heart is the bridge between mind and emotions. When life has involved emotional stress, loss, or giving too much without receiving, the heart chakra asks for attention first. Important thing to remember: Do not stop the crying or judge it. Just breathe and allow it. After meditation, drink water and rest. If you want, next time you can: – Place your hand gently on your chest – Imagine soft green light (not forcefully) – Breathe slowly and naturally This was a healing release, not emotional weakness. Your heart was opening at its own pace.
