Can expressing anger safely help restore my aura balance?

Place: Chandigarh, India. I usually don't show my anger but when I feel really angry. I write it down, tear some pages or sometimes punch the wall or release it. Through some extraneous exercises that I do and after that, I feel very light and more centered. Could this be a form of emotional release or aura balancing technique? I know it might be a harsh way to release this emotion. Is there any safer alternative for my aura balancing?
