When I burn sage, I hear that it removes negative energy and spirits, but I want to understand why it works. Is it a spiritual effect, or is there a scientific reason like smoke purifying the air? What is actually happening to my energy or aura when I use sage, and how does it protect me? I really want to understand how this works on a deeper level.
