Is burning sage a sin for me as a Christian if I want to cleanse my home while praying?

I want to cleanse my home and create a peaceful spiritual space, but I also want to honor my Christian faith. If I burn sage while praying to God and asking for protection, would that be considered wrong or sinful? I wonder if it’s the intention behind the ritual that matters more than the act itself. I really want to do this in a way that feels right for both my spiritual practice and my faith.
