Why did I dream of my ex after my egg cleanse?

I did an egg aura cleanse to get rid of the emotional energy left from my ex. That night, I had the most vivid dreams about him. I wasn’t even thinking about him before that. Is this normal? Could the cleanse have released buried emotions tied to him?
