Why do I feel like my aura holds memories from places I visit?

So the other day with my friends, I went into an abandoned house. Okay. So after I came home, I felt a strange feeling inside me like my body absorbed the the negative energy from that abandoned house.

It happened before too, when I go to an old buildings or crowded areas and I carry that mood for several days.

Could it be because my aura is holding onto energy residues from those places? and would aura detox, help me to release this imprints?
